You’re being tracked right now!

If you think that your activities cannot be tracked by anyone other than the government officials of cyber crime department, then I strongly urge you to please reconsider this motion as truth be told, there’s always something about some ways to track people that you cannot know.

For example, let us take into consideration this new way of tracking users which is applied by nearly most of the top websites especially those pornographic ones. The type of tracking users, which is called as canvas fingerprinting, works by instructing the user’s internet browser to draw a hidden image. It is worth mentioning that this was first documented in an upcoming paper by researchers at Princeton University and KU Leuven University of Belgium.

So how exactly does it track you? Well, because each computer draws the image slightly different from another (which is online at the same or different time), the images can be used to assign each user’s device a number that uniquely identifies it, making it possible and easier to track your activities.

I tempt to think that perhaps this is how all the federal people are being able to track each and everyone’s internet activities, but perhaps it isn’t so because someone taught me “you can make it difficult for the best hacker to hack, but you cannot stop him”. Since these black hat hackers still are able to continue their activities, there must be some way to elude the sights of the watch guards.
