Here is the latest report that Nest labs has been detected a problem in their “Nest Protect: Smoke+Carbon monoxide alarm” during lab testing that there may be an issue inside the product which could be unintentionally activated. This could delay an alarm going off if there was a real fire.
According to company, this problem has not yet been faced by any of the customer using “Nest protect”. And company has decided to take some safety measures on-behalf of consumers by disabling the Nest wave feature which could automatically resolve the issue.
On this issue, “We’re enormously sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue. The team and I are dedicated to ensuring that we can stand behind each Nest product that comes into your home, and your 100% satisfaction and safety are what motivates us. Please know that the entire Nest team and I are focused on fixing this problem and continuing to improve our current products in every way possible. If you don’t want to keep your Nest Protect smoke alarm, we will give you a complete refund.” said Toney Fadell, CEO of Nest Labs in an official post.
Company said that they will update you when they’ve an accurate solution of this problem regarding “Next wave’s working” and they’ll update their customer only after extensive testing and approval from safety agencies in UK, US and Canada.
