Here we are going to tell in-depth details of another education portal site and this time it will be CollegeDunia.com, a search engine of colleges, universities.
Nowadays, we have seen that education is becoming advanced in terms of accessibility, convenience and portability as well and all the credit behind evolution of education goes to internet because many education sites are entering into this market and few has set a milestone in providing online education to people and best examples are sites like KhanAcademy, Meritnation.
At the present scenario of India, where internet penetration is still low but ranked as 2nd highest country after US to use Facebook because people in India are capable enough to utilize new technologies whether it is WhatsApp, Google, Amazon or Facebook.
But when it comes to education and college and institute portals So US or other International Countries didn’t come with any of these except for few players like KhanAcademy and even US based education site do not deal with Indian education system like CBSE, Domestic exam results and institutes of India. So here we have seen domestic brands like Shiksha.com, HT Campus (an initiative by Hindustan Times).
Today we’re going to review CollegeDunia.com and will find out whether the site has enough qualities to outperform already established brands or not.

Design & UI of Site
When it comes to design, site have scored very well as they came with a fresh user interface and design which helps its users to easily explore different colleges, institutes and exam results from different streams like Commerce, Arts, Science and Management.
But what we liked most about this site is that they have prioritize their search engine box on top with bigger size which helps its users to easily identify the area and find different colleges.
College Database and Information
Now this is the main parameter of describing an education portal site and here CollegeDunia did tremendous job in terms of providing details about each college’s profile. As they have enough and detailed info about each college, from its fee structure, courses, faculty , amenities, facilities to placement details.
But in terms of database, college didn’t impress us a lot as we have seen some prestigious names are missing out of their lists like St Stephens College, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and even Hindu College. Interestingly, they have listed other colleges of Delhi Universities like DCAC, SVC and others. But as site is new to the ecosystem so it might be possible that they didn’t prepare list of other important colleges and they may come with all other colleges in future.
Verdict
Overall we liked this site a lot in terms of various aspects from design, user interface to detailed info of college’s profile. So the site have managed to perform well in almost all the basic areas.
I would like to recommend this site to all my viewers who are looking to find out colleges and institutes for their higher studies So i would like to say “try it once” and feel the experience.
