But in amidst of all, we should understand the fact that there is another prestigious university of India which is also considered to be one of the first state universities of India and the oldest in Maharastra. Yes, We are talking about the University of Mumbai, the university which has produced some prominent leaders of our country like B.R. Ambedkar, Morarji Desai, etc.

Academic Year’s Exam Pattern
As I’ve mentioned above, the University of Mumbai is considered as a one-stop destination for all the aspiring students across the country to pursue their graduation degree. Every year, over 5 lakh students appear for the university examination. Each academic year at the University has been conventionally divided into two halves namely First half and the Second half, usually referred as ‘semesters’ in other universities of the country.
University conducts the examination for the first half in the month of April-May every year while for the second half, exams are conducted in the month of October and November. Likewise to other universities, the Mumbai University also declares the results of the respected examination within a prescribed period of not more than a month after the test has conducted.
Exam Results 2016
In case, you want to know the result of your exam, the results for both the halves are announced in the official website of the university. Here are the steps you need to follow to check the candidate’s result:
- Go to the official website of University of Mumbai
- Click on the tab ‘Exams and Results.’
- Now click on ‘Results,’ You will be redirected to the result’s page.
- Now select your respective course name under your faculty name and your enrolment/roll no. to check your final result.
Revaluation Results
The university also offers the facility of revaluation/verification of the answer copies to its students. Those students who are not satisfied with their results can also apply for revaluation of their mark sheets. The revaluation form can easily be downloaded from the university’s official website or the examination counter of any college/campus. The revaluation results are also announced by the university on its official website. Contrary to regular exams, The University uploads the pdf format pages of their result.

MU’s Distance Education Results
For those who don’t know, the University of Mumbai also has a distance education department under the aegis of Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL). The IDOL shares the same examination pattern similar to Mumbai University, which has divided each year into two halves and conducts examination around the same time as for the regular university exams.
Addition to that, the students are required to fill an examination form for each half to be eligible to appear for the examination.
IDOL-MU follows the same result announcement pattern as for the regular University exams. It announces the results through its official website; students need to click on their course from the list and then they are required to put in their enrolment number to view their results. The option of revaluation of examination papers is also available here; the students need to fill a revaluation form after the result is announced.
Those who want the physical mark sheet of their result, the University also issues physical mark sheets for each academic year which can be collected from examination branch of the university campus or college.
