As we all know that Snapchat is the trending social network platform. But as far as the engineering of this app is concerned, it is not that pleasant to use. This app has the tendency of sucking your phone’s battery life and mobile data at a rapid pace. Compare to other apps like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, or even Instagram, the Snapchat is the father of all the social networking apps out there when it comes data consuming. It mainly happens due to the fact that; Snapchat’s android app is designed to detect your phone’s location while using the app. Yes, that’s the main culprit.

It mainly happens due to the fact that; Snapchat’s android app is designed to detect your phone’s location while using the app. Yes, that’s the main culprit behind the unnecessary battery and data eradication.
Considering that Snapchat is one of the must-have apps on your android device, at least for teenagers. I’ve decided to bring to you a simply handy method through which you can easily get rid of those problems.
Here are the following steps you need to follow in order to Prevent Snapchat From Consuming Your Mobile Data and Battery Life:
Step 1: Simply enable ‘Travel Mode’ To Save Data
Yes, that’s correct. In that way, you can easily prevent Snapchat from using your mobile data. You can simply do this by opening your Snapchat app > go to settings > scroll down a bit and then select ‘Managerial preferences’ > on the next screen, you need to enable the ‘Travel Mode’ option.
That’s it, from now on, Snapchat won’t be able to preload snap stories in the background.
Step 2: Disable the ‘Location Permission’ under Apps manager to Save Battery
The work is still incomplete. Now you need to take some steps to protect your phone’s battery life. But remember here you need to run Android Marshmallow or higher version on your device, to workout this method.
We are assuming that you are running Android M or higher one. Now just to the apps menu in phone’s settings > scroll through the list and select Snapchat > on the next screen, choose ‘Permissions’ > then you need to disable the ‘Location’ option, and then confirm on the popup window.
From now onwards, the Snapchat will not be able to scan your phone’s location and that will indirectly stop your phone’s processor to do extra work.
