Mondelēz International has announced a significant leadership shift within its Indian operations. Vidya Kailasam Hangal, a seasoned leader with over a decade at the company, has been elevated to Director – Category Planning and Activation (Head – Customer Marketing).
Hangal announced the move via LinkedIn, marking the start of a fresh chapter in her 11-year tenure with the FMCG giant.
From Omnichannel to Category Strategy Before stepping into this new remit, Hangal was leading the charge as Director – Omnichannel. In that capacity, she spearheaded the “Organised Trade” vertical for Mondelez India Foods.
Her previous role was pivotal in navigating the complex post-pandemic retail landscape. She was responsible for driving growth across Modern Trade (both B2B and B2C) and managing the rapidly expanding e-commerce ecosystem, including the booming Quick Commerce and e-grocery sectors.
