Lenovo India Unifies Commercial Strategy: Amit Luthra Named ‘One Lenovo’ Commercial Leader

Come March 1, 2026, Lenovo India’s approach to the enterprise market will look significantly more integrated. The technology giant has announced the appointment of Amit Luthra as the One Lenovo Commercial Leader, a strategic move designed to consolidate its leadership across multiple business verticals.

This new role represents a shift away from siloed management. Luthra will now oversee commercial initiatives across three distinct but critical arms of the company:

  • Intelligent Devices Group (IDG)

  • Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG)

  • Solutions and Services Group (SSG)

The objective is clear: to streamline the “Go-to-Market” strategy. By placing these groups under a unified leadership scope, Lenovo aims to offer enterprise customers a more cohesive experience—integrating hardware, infrastructure, and services into a single package.

A Proven Track Record

Luthra’s elevation follows a strong three-and-a-half-year tenure with Lenovo India. He previously played a pivotal role in scaling the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), where he was credited with building high-performance teams and expanding the partner ecosystem. His new mandate is essentially to replicate that focused growth on a company-wide scale.

Broader Leadership Reshuffle

Luthra’s appointment is part of a larger restructuring of Lenovo India’s top brass to better address distinct market needs:

  • Srinivas Rao has been promoted to Managing Director, ISG. He will take the baton from Luthra to drive growth specifically in the infrastructure and data-center segments.

  • Kaman Chawla has been named Director of the Consumer Business, where the focus will remain on keeping Lenovo’s PC and smart device portfolio competitive in the retail space.

According to Shailendra Katyal, Vice President and Managing Director of Lenovo India, this reshuffle is about preparing for the next wave of technology. The changes are geared toward accelerating AI-led transformation for partners and customers while simultaneously strengthening both the consumer and enterprise pillars of the business.
