But before going to scale this University in a different aspect, I would like to tell you about some deed and achievement of this legendary University based in India.
Bangalore University is a public state university that was established in 1886 by British Government as Central College but later it was renamed as the Bangalore University on July 10, 1964, by the government of the state of Mysore. And currently, BU is one of the largest educational university in India with two campuses including Central College and Jnana Bharathi Campus spread over 1,100 acres and has been approved by UGC, NAAC, AIU, ACU.
The University use to offer the courses to its students at large with variety of options which includes Arts, Science, Management, Commerce, Computer & Applications, Law, Design, Medical, Hotel Management, Engineering, Architecture and other Vocational Courses as well which is more than many big universities such as Delhi University or University of Pune.
This university has the great contribution of providing big names to this Country as their alumni cell is really large in number and many business persons, artists and politicians are graduated from this university which includes CNR Rao, Robin Uthappa, Anushka Sharma, Sri Ravishankar, C.Rajgopalachari, Nirupama Rao, etc.
Apart from this, the University lists almost 70 Government Colleges in total in which 52 are aided colleges and 11 unaided colleges. This list includes few big colleges of India including St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences, Kristu Jayanti College, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, etc.
