Xiaomi, Chinese smartphone giant and one of the heroes of last year in terms of profitability and sale, now company has announced the successor to its highly popular Redmi 1S smartphone called Redmi 2. The phone is priced at 699 Yuan (Approximately Rs 7,100) and all set to go on sale in China on January 9.
The smartphone features a 4.7-inch IPS display with 1280×720 resolution, powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, internal storage space of 8GB that can be expandable up to 32GB.
For photography, it has 8-megapixel camera on rear side and a 2-megapixel in front, running android 4.4 kitkat version along with dual-sim functionality, phone comes in five different colors including Yellow, Pink, Green, White, and Black, backed by a 2200mAh battery.
But currently there is no word from company on arrival status of the phone in India but we can expect the device to make its entry in Indian market in coming months.
