WhatsApp, a mobile messaging service have just announced that the company have added the voice messaging system while announcing that app has now now hit 300 Million monthly active users.
Now company is starting rolling out this feature slightly on major mobile platforms Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Phone and Nokia.
But one thing is important to note that voice messaging feature on WhatsApp will not work like phone call as mentioned by company. For me this service is great as it has no time limit of recording voice message and you can say that it is push-to-talk voice messaging.
On this whole report, a media outlet All Things D took this news deeper and it’s writer Liz Gannes mentioned all things about this new feature of WhatsApp in very depth.
And according to ATD, “With the updated WhatsApp, a user pushes to record a message rather than type one. When she lets go, the message sends. If she decides not to send, she swipes to the left and the recording is deleted. All that is built into a single tap,”
Apart from this, there is study describes that WhatsApp users now send 11 billion messages and receive 20 billion messages per day – up from 27 billion total in June. Jan Koum, co-founder and CEO, WhatsApp, states, WhatsApp users share 325 million photos per day.
