Here is the latest report that Twitter, leading microblogging site will not going to buy Berlin based Audio directory SoundCloud as per the report from The Wall Street Journal.
An anonymous person told WSJ that “the numbers didn’t add up,” without offering clear data. Apart from this, wave of SoundCloud’s acquisition by Twitter arisen after a report from Peter Kafka of Re/Code.
And now Re/Code reportedly said regarding Twitter’s conclusion of not buying SoundCloud that “It looks like Twitter won’t be buying SoundCloud, after all: The messaging service let an exclusive negotiating period with the music-sharing service expire this morning, and is no longer in discussions, according to a person familiar with the matter.”
But for now, both parties (Twitter and SoundCloud) declined to comment anything on this report.
Founded in 2007, SoundCloud that enables its users to upload, record, promote and share their originally-created sounds. In July 2013, it had 40 million registered users and 200 million listeners.
