Here is the latest report that Twitter acquires a password-sharign startup Mitro and this report has officially confirmed by both parties.
As per the latest statement wrote by Mitro Team on their official site stating that “We’re excited to announce that the Mitro team is joining Twitter’s location team in New York, focusing on a variety of geo-related projects! As we transition to Twitter, we want to provide you with some updates on our product.”
But as of now, there is no official details regarding money involved in this deal but it would be possible that Twitter will use this service to work on security aspects for Twitter users.
Additionally, Mitro was founded in 2012 by Adam Hilss and company had raised $2.4 Million in funding that was backed by Google Ventures and Matrix Partners. Apart from this, company’s preliminary product was a web browser extension that allows users to store and share passwords.
