As we all know that Snapchat announced their biggest update ever on Thursday which includes two new features Video calls and Instant messaging but now things seems changes as recent report from The Verge suggests that this update is powered by a confidential acquisition made by Snapchat several months ago.
In addition to this, The Verge reported that Snapchat confirmed this acquisition to them by saying that “We are excited to welcome the AddLive team to the Snapchat family. We have no further comment at this time.”
The update made by Snapchat was like this: you have to swipe right from camera to access it and your message will disappear when both users recess that screen but you have the option to take a screenshot of those messaged by a simple tap and last but not the least Video chatting can simply done by swiping the screen to right from the camera screen and then you can start a video chat with your friend in a list of your friends.
According to AddLive’s website, they can integrate live video, voice and text chat into various applications but for now Snapchat didn’t introduce voice calls but it might be possible that company will show off it in near future.
