Google has announced the sending and requesting for money directly from Gmail user account which is available for UK based users directly via gmail.
Now people in UK are able to send and receive cash directly from gmail on desktop and you can receive cash even if you doesn’t have a gmail address.
In order to perform this process of sending money, what you are required is to hover over the attachment button and select the £ icon to attach money to your message and then enter the amount you want to transfer and send it. Similarly, you can make a request for money using the same procedure.
Once you receive the money via gmail then you are required to set up a Google Wallet account and link it with a debit card or bank account. After setting up your Google wallet, you can store your receive money there for later use which includes shopping on Google Play or transferring the money to your bank account.
Google is rolling out this feature over the coming weeks to all UK Gmail users over 18 years old.
