Here is the latest report that Samsung has launched its new smartphones named Galaxy J3 under the ‘J Series’ which is priced at Rs 8,990. The smartphone is specifically designed for two-wheeler riders in India as the phone comes with a novel ‘S Bike Mode’ feature.
The ‘S Bike Mode’, once activated, callers are intimated using an automated answering machine that the user is riding and cannot take the call at the moment.
Although the caller can choose to press ‘1’ to express exigency to speak to the rider. And once the caller presses 1, the rider will be notified of the incoming call. He may then choose to receive the call after safely stopping the bike.
On the launch of J3, “About 70 percent of our users in India are two-wheeler users…This feature is our effort to promote responsible riding,” Samsung India Senior Vice President Asim Warsi said.
The company is also planning to expand this feature to other countries as Samsung India Director Mobile business Manu Sharma said “We have received interest from other emerging countries and will look at the possibility of taking it to these markets. Also, we are exploring extending this to our other mass and mid-segment 4G devices in India,”.
As far as the availability of Samsung Galaxy J3 is concerned, the handset is available for buy exclusively on Snapdeal.
Apart from this, the handset features a 5-inch display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB memory that can be expandable up to 128 GB. For photography purposes, the phone comes with an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera. All these features are backed by a 2,600 mAH battery.
In addition to this, the J series has done enormously well for the overall sales growth of the company because J series handsets are considered as entry level smartphone from Samsung.
