Here is the latest report that Microsoft has filed a lawsuit against Kyocera, Japanese multinational electronic company last week for infringing on several patents with its android-powered smartphones.
As far as reports are concerned, things are not going well for Kyocera as company do not have financial capability to meet lawsuit financial damages but Microsoft has mentioned that it’s hoping to find a cordial solution but the suit is demanding financial damages.
Microsoft has targeted three smartphone lines of Kyocera which include Duraforce, Hydro and Brigadier. And Microsoft is claiming that Kyocera phones infringe on seven patents, such as features for location tracking and text messaging.
But it’s not clear how much Microsoft is demanding for in terms of damages and royalties, Nevertheless if Kyocera is failed to cooperate then Microsoft would ask for prevention of selling those devices in United States.
