No matter what Xiaomi mobiles are good in, they are certainly good in one very important aspect of sales, which is being sold out as fast as their products hit the market. The way in which Xiaomi mobiles have been sold in recent days is perhaps so intriguing that students of sales and marketing in various business colleges such as Harvard might have to include their strategies into the syllabus!
But let’s not drift away from the topic and stick to Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Priced at a rupee less than 6,000 rupees, it wouldn’t be fair to tell that we didn’t expect a similar buzz in news of its products being sold out again this time. However, we were always interested about the number. This time, Xiaomi were successful in selling about 40,000 unites of their Redmi 1S in a matter of only 4.2 seconds.
The smartphone which are currently being marketed and sold only by the ecommerce platform provided by Flipkart, had received around 250,000 registrations. This time, instead of producing a lesser number like 10,000 (the number of units they had introduced for the Mi3), this time they have produced a much bigger number: 40,000.
In terms of features, The Redmi 1S doesn’t go cheap on the hardware as well. In spite of being a mobile that costs a rupee less than 6000 rupees, the Redmi 1S features a pretty decent 4.7-inch display and is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor. In terms of memory, the Redmi 1S has been paired with 1 GB of RAM and also does features an 8 MP camera;
In terms of storage, the mobile does provide an 8 GB internal storage and 2000 mAh battery. This is a dual SIM smartphone operating on Android 4.3 and competes against the Motorola Moto E.
With today’s flash sale of the Redmi 1S, those of the Mi3 have now been put on hold.
Xiaomi confirmed on its Facebook page that this time the sale was over within 4.2 seconds. And if you were wondering when would the next batch of Xiaomi Redmi 1S would start being sold in Flipkart, then we have news for you.
