First Xiaomi and now OnePlus is banned from selling its flagship device “OnePlus One” in India as per the order issued by The Delhi High Court and they have ordered OnePlus to not import, market and sell their One devices in India.
I know that this news would definitely disheartened those people who are looking to purchase the device in the occasion of Christmas and New Year but this order from high court came after a complain filed by Micromax, domestic brand of India and they’ve told to court that OnePlus is infringing on its country-specific exclusivity agreement with Cyanogen, whose OS will feature on Micromax’s YU brand of devices, which is slated to launch tomorrow.
On this note, Micromax said that it had “incurred major expenses for creation of a brand exclusivity for providing to Indian customers mobile phones with Cyanogen operating systems,” and “ would suffer irreparable harm and loss if the defendants (OnePlus) are permitted to continue with their illegal acts in violation of the agreement between Micromax and Cyanogen.”
