Here is the latest report that Facebook is going to make India as its biggest user base market after United States as report is telling that India have already crosses user base of 100 million counts.
Above statement, specifies the fact that Indian users are little short to surpass the US user base. And, as per the report as of March 31, India stands at second place with 100m users and Brazil is on third place with 83 million users and other Countries, Indonesia and Mexico ranked on 4th and 5th place.
Facebook established its first Indian office in Hyderabad in 2010 when its user base was less than 10 Million and there is a report which suggests that out of 100 Million, about 84 Million users access Facebook platform on their mobile devices.
In an interview to Economic Times Newspaper, Javier Oliva, Vice-President, growth & analytics at Facebook said their aim is to reach the magic figure of 1 Billion users in India but he also expressed that there are many challenges associated with the figure of 1 Billion users, like it might be easier task for Facebook to reach 1 Billion users in India but converting those figures into dollar is different task but company’s like Facebook and Twitter are becoming use to of this particular program as it is not always necessary that their biggest user market are also top revenue factors specially outside the United States
