Here is the latest report that all the Indian bank are going to be on strike for tomorrow August 22. And most of the banks have already warned their customers that functioning of branches and offices will be impacted.
But there is good news for private banks customers is that;
Operations at private lenders that include Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank are expected to be normal except the delay in cheque clearances.
Here is the main reason behind the strike;
As per sources, around 10 lakh employees of public-sector banks may go on a nation-wide strike on Tuesday, August 22.
“As the conciliation meeting before the Chief Labour Commissioner failed, unions are left with no other option but to go on strike. There was no assurance from the government and the management of banks,” AIBOC General Secretary D T Franco said. The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) is an umbrella body of nine unions, including All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC), All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and National Organisation of Bank Workers (NOBW).
That means, if you have a bank account with any public sector bank then are bound to face service issues for tomorrow. So it is recommended to complete all your necessary banking works by today or wait for the day after tomorrow to avoid any unnecessary delay.
