Here is the latest report that Google have hired John Krafcik, former Hyundai Chief as company’s self-driving car project’s Chief Executive from late September.
Being a technology news oriented blog, in last couple two years, we here at abrition.com have observed that Google is quite focused and so serious about the execution and implementation of its self-driving car project in the real world.
In order to make things work, the company has hired Krafcik, currently serving as the president of automotive price terminal named Truecar Inc and former CEO of Hyundai Motors American division.
Many of Automobile giants thinks that self-driving is just a gimmick and irrelevant dream of a human that will never become a reality in future but at the same time, Google is thinking self-driving as a serious business in future and that’s the reason behind their serious approach towards self-driving car project.
After the arrival of John into the Google’s self-driving car project, Chris Urmson, who has been head of the self-driving car program since 2009, will continue overseeing the project as its technical lead, the company said in an official emailed statement.
The self-driving project is part of Google X lab, but the company didn’t intend to manufacture the cars in near future.
