Well, it seems that Facebook is taking the matter seriously. They have been going on placing reminders to each and everyone of its users to download their new messenger app before it becomes late and please don’t worry if you haven’t received the reminder yet, if all goes well according to their plan, within a next few days, you’ll surely be getting one.
Facebook is once again reminding users everywhere about the pending change and urging them to download Messenger. Users who haven’t installed the app yet will likely see a notice resembling the one below over the coming days.
However, truth be told, Facebook isn’t yet forcing anyone to make the switch; it says there will be several notices before messages are finally unbundled for good. But all they are stating is that this step is fast approaching. However if you are a Desktop user then you don’t need to worry since chat will remain there in the same place as always, report said.
And while managing two apps may seem like a hassle, Facebook says the split will allow it to better improve the performance of both apps over time.
The company also insists Messenger offers a faster experience with more ways of keeping in touch with friends, the report added.
