While many people and scientists may remain skeptical about their views on face reading, a team of scientists do believe that by having a look at their Facebook photos, they can identify what kind of person is the that guy or gal. They can reach to conclusions about what kind of personality they have.
It all depends on how you manage your Facebook photos and that can tell this team of scientists if you are an extrovert or an introvert type of person and many other personality cues as well.
What they claim is that while Extroverts and neurotics both upload significant numbers of photos to their Facebook pages, extroverts tend to change their profile cover photos, while neurotics are likely to upload more photos per album, researchers said
“Our findings suggest [neurotics] seek acceptance implicitly through intensive photo uploads to look more attractive and popular online and to ‘keep up with the Joneses’, or to keep up with the popular visual culture,” said study author Azar Eftekhar, a PhD student in the department of psychology at the University of Wolverhampton, in the UK
“The point is that such [conscientious] individuals are self-disciplined and goal-orientated, thus they have [a] tendency to document and organise their photos and videos using online visual tools,” Eftekhar said. The study was published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior.
Well, this can mean a wide many things but one of them might be that the HR of any company might take a bit more interest in visiting the Facebook profile of the candidate to better analyze the person using techniques that have been discovered as a result of this experiment.
