Like, we all know that Twitter and Google plus offers the verified services to celebrities and other public figures with large audiences on their network.
This verified service identifies the real account of public figure with blue and white with a check mark type badge on Twitter and almost same on Google plus as well.
Now Facebook have also announced their verified services for pages and later they’ll bring this service for profiles as well. “We’re launching verified Pages to help people find the authentic accounts of celebrities and other high-profile people and businesses on Facebook,” said a post on Facebook’s Newsroom. Facebook will be rolling out verification for profiles as well.
Facebook says the Verified Pages will be extended to a small group of prominent public figures such as celebrities, journalists, government officials, popular brands and businesses with large audiences.
Facebook will verify authentic identities on its own and unlike Twitter users cannot request to have a profile or Page verified.
