Accenture PLC, a global professional services company, said on Friday it would generate 15,000 ‘highly-skilled’ new jobs in the United States.
Dublin-based Company made a statement that the new jobs would potentially expand the company’s U.S. workforce by 30 percent to more than 65,000 by the end of 2020.
According to Reuters, “Accenture has more than 394,000 employees, of which about 140,000 are in India“.
The company added that it would invest $1.4 billion to train its employees and would open ten innovation centers in some U.S. cities.
It comes as no surprise because the United States is the substantial source of business revenue for Accenture. And the company’s U.S. business accounted for 46 percent of its total revenue for the year ended Aug. 31.
This development is really interesting as IT services companies have become a center of attraction in the US after Trump emphasized on germinating more jobs for U.S. workers, who had been affected by the outsourcing of jobs abroad.
