Finally the prototype version of Google’s self-driving car (unveiled back in May) is ready for road testing. And this was announced on Monday on Google+ page of Google Self-driving car project.
The project team stated on their plus page that “We’re going to be spending the holidays zipping around our test track, and we hope to see you on the streets of Northern California in the new year,”
According to our observation, this December version prototype of Google self-driving car is much improvised and has got all the key features which could make it a proper self-driving car as compare to previous announced version in May that lacked headlights, ugly black cap on its roof but now things are changed in polite way as Google has done great work in making the car attractive too.
“Weve been working on different prototypes-of-prototypes, each designed to test different systems of a self-driving car-for example, the typical car parts like steering and braking, as well as the self-driving parts like the computer and sensors,” Google said in the blog post.
They’ve added “We’ve now put all those systems together in this fully functional vehicle-our first complete prototype for fully autonomous driving.”
