With 200,000 units sold daily, the device is selling six times faster than the Galaxy S and three times faster than the Galaxy S II, Samsung claims.

The company also unveiled regional sales data: 6 million Galaxy S III phones were sold in Europe, 4.5 million in Asia, 4 million in North America, and 2.5 million in Korea.

This is more good news for Samsung, whose smartphone sales recently surpassed those of Apple, according to a report from Strategy Analytics.
