Now Kodak in plans to sell its film business that made it famous previously, and now the bankrupt Kodak has found a new way to make some money with efforts.

And finally company disclosed that it will sell its consumer film, photo kiosk, and commercial scanner businesses. The sale of the units will leave Kodak offering just printers to consumers and commercial film to Hollywood.

On this news, Business Week reported that this deal will completed by the middle of next year. On this report, “The initiation of a process to sell the personalized imaging and document imaging businesses is an important step in our company’s reorganization to focus our business on the commercial markets and enable Kodak to accelerate its momentum toward emergence,” said Kodak’s CEO Antonio Perez.

“In addition, we continue our initiatives to reduce our cost structure and streamline our operating models in an effort to return the company to profitability.”

Kodak said “The company reiterates that it has made no decision to sell the portfolio and Kodak may, in consultation with creditors, retain the portfolio as an alternative source of recovery for creditors,”
