Amazon, world’s largest retailer company has launch its Kindle store in India and this store can be access at www.amazon.com/kindlestoreindia and with this source, people can access to over one million books priced in Indian Rupees.
Some sources said that Amazon has also announced the availability of its e-reader at Croma retail stores across India at Rs 6,999. The Kindle e-reader has a 6-inch E Ink display and can hold up to 1,400 books. It weighs 170 grams.
“We are proud to launch this new Kindle store for Indian customers – offering Kindle book purchases in rupees and the ability to buy and read the work of many great Indian authors,” said VP of Kindle Content, Russ Grandinetti .
While CEO and MD of Chroma, Ajit Joshi said “We are excited to be the first retailer in India to offer the latest generation Kindle to our customers. This product will launch exclusively in all Croma stores across India at an introductory price of 6,999 INR,”
