Here is the latest report that Microsoft have recently announced their new product “surface tablet” in an event at Los Angeles, for last one week everyone was confused about Microsoft’s announcement.
But now finally Microsoft has unveiled their new product and on this announcement Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer said “It was always clear that what our software could do would require us to push hardware, sometimes where our partners hadn’t envisioned,”
“Much like Windows 1 needed the mouse, we wanted to give Windows 8 its own hardware.”
This event is held in Milk Studios in Hollywood CA and there is a thinnest tablet which is 9.3mm thick, features a full-size USB 2 port, beveled edges canted at 22 degrees and weighs 1.5 lbs.

Surface features a Gorilla Glass and kickstand and it will be protect the overall body of Surface Tablet from scratches and marks, it has 10.6-inch screen with full multitouch keyboard on the inner cover.
RT version of this tablet could be more lighter that Pro version because Pro version is heavier with and thicker and features a higher resolution screen along with more ports. Its maximum storage option is 128GB on the other hand RT version has less capacity of storage.
Ballmer said “We’ve ushered in a new era of cloud computing and embraced mobility. We are attempting to transform entertainment, and Windows is the heart and soul of Microsoft,”
