Here is the latest report that Barnes & Noble has clear that their involvement in Microsoft’s LA Event is zero but previously there were lots of rumor was running around the web.

We reported yesterday, Andy Lees, President at Microsoft said in a his recent statement

“Our complementary assets will accelerate e-reading innovation across a broad range of Windows devices, enabling people to not just read stories, but to be part of them,”

The two companies announced a partnership in April in which Microsoft invested $300 million into a new Barnes & Noble subsidiary that would focus on Barnes & Noble’s Nook digital and college businesses.

In exchange, Barnes & Noble agreed to load its Nook digital bookstore with Windows 8, the software giant’s next-generation operating system that launches later this year.
